Australians who entered a theatre of war after December 31, 1915 are recognised with a British War Medal/Victory Medal pair as full World War I entitlement.
It is possible to confirm if the pair is full entitlement by examining the last page of the official file.  The outline of all three World War I medals are stamped on this page, with N/E written in the star if the person was not eligible for the 1914-15 Star.  The other two should have an issue number and date written in them.
